Maja Markovic

Zagreb/Croatia — Visual Arts, Solitude fellow 2014

Maja Marković, born in Zagreb/Croatia (1979), graduated from Academy Of Fine Arts Zagreb with MA degree in Painting in 2011. There, she refined her own visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged through her focus on the points of intersection between architecture, drawing, and spatial analysis. Her recent interest lies in exploring the artistic and theoretical implications of the concept of home (or its fictions) which can be viewed as experienced space, existing in the mind and as meaning-charged activity. She currently lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
