Pictures of Me in Different Places

»I constitute myself in the process of ›posing‹, I instantaneously make another body for myself, transform myself in advance into an image«
Roland Barthes

In his work, Southern California-based architect and artist Jorge Orozco Gonzalez focusses on the communicative qualities of drawing, especially in the context of architectural projects. In 2007 he started this ongoing series of self portraits (all of them are ink on paper and around A3 size), showing him in different locations. Primarily they are places that he has lived or visited. But there are also places that don’t actually exist or that he has not been.
