“Tectonic Sculptures” are miniature objects, spatial compositions, made from wood and metal throughout the process of building two 208 x 117 x 15 cm walls. The walls are used for video projection as part of the set design of the performative object “front-back”.
Maayan Danoch, Berlin/Germany — Performing Arts, Solitude fellow 2017–2019
Maayan Danoch is an artist, choreographer and dancer, working and living in Israel and Germany. Intrigued by the illusive nature of perception, by the gap between »what is« and »what we perceive/assume of it«, she explores ways of opening, juxtaposing or colliding multiple viewpoints in a single composition. She relates her practice to the process of unraveling the poetic potential of an object and works with different media such as performance, photography, video and poetry. Maayan is a guest teacher in dance universities and centres in Zagreb/Croatia, Kassel/Germany and Bat Yam/Israel.
