Shaka McGlotten is an anthropologist and artist. They are the Doris and Carl Kempner Distinguished Associate Professor of Media Studies at Purchase College–SUNY. Author of Virtual Intimacies: Media, Affect, and Queer Sociality (2013) and coeditor of Black Genders and Sexualities(2012) and Zombie Sexuality (2014), their current projects include “The Political Aesthetics of Drag” and “Black Data.”
