Clare’s debut short story collection The Loudest Sound and Nothing (Faber & Faber) was published in 2007 to critical acclaim, and in 2008 she won the BBC National Short Story Award. She is currently working to complete a new story collection after which she will be writing her first novel. She has taught writing workshops all over Europe and has lived in London, Berkeley, Prague, Edinburgh, and now Berlin.
