CENTRALA (Malgorzata Kuciewicz & Simone De Iacobis)is engaged in the attempt to critically shape the surrounding reality. Only a few of the tasks we deal with are commissioned by specific »clients.« Most of them arise spontaneously. In privately commissioned projects, we look for innovative solutions for traditional programs, while in the public space we always try to introduce new programs and non-obvious functions. We search for a possibility to create non-profit indoor spaces. We ponder how temporary exhibition venues can function. Our ephemeral projects, created at the intersection of architecture and art, are reality revising impulses, which simultaneously reinforce the image of Warsaw as a place of anecdotes and experiments. CENTRALA investigates and reconstructs bold ideas of the twentieth century.
