Artur Klinau was an active member of a non-conformist art movement in Belarusian art in the 1980s and participated in about a hundred group exhibitions abroad as well as 30 solo exhibitions. In 2012, he represented Belarus at the 54th International Venice Biennale with the straw project The Last Supper. The book Minsk. A Sun City of Dream was translated into German, Polish, Swedish, Hungarian, Russian, and French.
