Only Analog Is Safe is a cross media installation located in the historic theatre vestibule of Akademie Schloss Solitude. The work seeks to interrogate our current material and immaterial relationships to crystals, drawing from research on the history and iconography of crystals in literature, architecture and music. Experienced as an endless stream of images, the viewer accesses a visual archive of sorts, while listening to a text written and narrated by fiction writer Doretta Lau.
The work will be on show at Akademie Schloss Solitude May 12 until June 24, 2016.
