»Celebrate with me« is a video I made about something I found on the Wikipedia Page of Kayode Are. Something we have in common. I discovered that in 1999, the year I was born, he became the Director General of The State Security Service of Nigeria. Twenty years ago our lives changed! I wanted to celebrate with him this date and I wrote an email that I illustrated in this video where I blow a candle on a big slice of (paper) cherry pie. The best thing about mondialisation is being able to celebrate my birthday with some military guy from Nigeria mixing the coat of arms of his country and some kitsch 80s aesthetic.

During an experimental workshop by Susanna Flock at École nationale supérieure d’art de Bourges, the students were asked to think about random topics assigned to them by chance.

Media competence seems to be one of most crucial assets in the age of »filter bubbles« and »fake news.« Inspired by the articles of the »Random Article generator« of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia the students created the following artistic contributions.
