Gemini
There is no identity without difference. But the unsettling feeling of being a stranger to yourself often gives rise to the question – what do we give up when estrangement becomes a fundamental condition for identification? »Gemini – The Journal« is a collection of conversations, close readings, videos, listening pieces, and stories that share a suspicion toward a wholesome understanding of identity. Instead, they introduce a polyphony of voices that speak to the complexity of identity from the perspective of artists, researchers, and curators. This issue is edited by the curatorial collective anorak and precedes and extends the Gemini project’s two exhibition chapters and events.
