Bio:
hactivista is interested in exploring the tension between language, nature and societal structures. Their work is focused on furthering understanding of the human experience, with a particular emphasis on the power dynamics governing feminism, queerness, ethnic islam, disability and social justice. They are interacting with the new media, writing poetic algorithms and experimenting with live coding, movement, visuals and words. This, in an attempt to subvert the dominant, profit-driven digital narrative and bring the world wide web, a platform for art and knowledge, back to its ‘by all for all’ open source origin.
