José Carlos Teixeira is an artist and researcher who has exhibited his interdisciplinary work internationally. Through performative and participatory strategies, his practice examine notions of locational identity, language, boundary, exile and displacement, addressing the limits and overlapping of personal and socio-political territories, physical and psychological spaces. The relationship with, and the representation of Otherness occupy a central role in his ethical and aesthetic materializations.
